Class Description
When booking this class, please note attendance is required on the following dates. If you cannot attend all three classes, please choose a different weekend to begin. Thu. May 14 - 7:00 - 9:30 pm Sat. May 16 - 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Sun. May 17 - 8:30 am - 2:30 pm This course introduces sailors to the additional skills required to skipper a larger sailboat on Lake Ray Hubbard and protected coastal waters. After a classroom seminar, two days will be spent aboard a medium size, live aboard cruising boat. Topics Include: Sail shape and trim Person overboard drills Close quarters powering Distress signals Sail changes, including reefing Emergency procedures Introduction to coastal navigation Short-handed cruising techniques Large boat dockings, moorings and anchoring Inboard engines Prerequisite: ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Certification

If rescheduling within 7 days of your scheduled class beginning there will be a rescheduling fee of 50% of the cost of the class. To cancel, please contact us a minimum of 7 days prior to your scheduled class beginning for a 90% refund. If cancelling within 7 days of your scheduled class beginning there will be no refund.
