Oct. 31 - 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm Sat. Nov. 2 - 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Sun. Nov. 3 - 9:00 am - 2:00 pm This course introduces sailors to the additional skills required to skipper a larger sailboat on Lake Ray Hubbard and protected coastal waters. After a classroom seminar, two days will be spent aboard a medium size, live aboard cruising boat. Topics Include: Sail shape and trim Person overboard drills Close quarters powering Distress signals Sail changes, including reefing Emergency procedures Introduction to coastal navigation Short-handed cruising techniques Large boat dockings, moorings and anchoring Inboard engines Prerequisite: ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Certification
